Target $1 Spot Easter Wreath

*This is a repost from a post I did back in the day when I was a struggling tutu-hairband-hairbow-making-Etsian with a blog…

This past week I found the perfect craft in the Target Dollar Spot. 

You know the spot right when you walk into Target with mounds full of goodies you really don't need, but somehow end up browsing and then you find yourself with $30 dollars worth of goodies in your cart!  Please, say I'm not the only one…

Anyway, we {my daughters & I} saw so much potential in these wreaths for  $2.50 yet in the $1 area we just had to have them.

The three of us got to thinking…

Here is what we used:

  Yes, we used Jelly Beans.  I'm not much of a Jelly Bean fan so crafting with them makes complete sense. 

Everything is better with glitter… right?

Mod Podge

Crafty Pants Time 

The girls painted Mod Podge on the eggs and then added glitter.

Next we Mod Podged the Jelly Beans 

The girls added the jelly beans to the wreath and then added more glitter.

The girls added a little ribbon, well I helped because that called for my hot glue gun ;)

Valentines Show & Tell

….I hope your day is filled with love….

Valentine's Day for Mr. AOK & I will consist of being serenaded by a class full of Kindergartners and guess what-- we cannot wait!
We're actually going to get a little alone time, which doesn't happen often.  Valentine's day is usually about the kiddos here.

Speaking of the kiddos, I thought I'd share our I mean their Valentines.

My little man is handing out Play-doh to his classmates.
We purchased the Play-doh party pack, mini white paper bags, and foam stickers. 
My little guy decorated the bags and had fun picking who got what color...

My baby girl is a Frozen Fan.  She absolutely loves Olaf! Naturally, she chose to go with Olaf for her Valentines…

The two of us gals got to work on PicMokey and made these "Olaf inspired" tags...

We glued the tags onto more of those mini white paper bags I used for little man's valentines.

We also glued on some shaved ice to give the bags a nice frozen feel :)

Next we filled the bags with Hershey's Hugs and Stickers.

We also made a little something for the teachers…

14 Loves

14 things I love. 14 things that make me happy.  

There are so many more things, but here are 14…

in no particular order.

1. Spending time with my best friend everyday.

2. Going to my kiddos' 101 sporting events :)

3. Seeing my kiddos create.

4. The smiles on my kiddos' faces when they accomplish something huge.

5. Proud moments. The moment when a kiddo rises against ignorance and chooses love.

6. Capturing sweet moments, to have forever, stuck in time.

7. Coffee. Beach. {The two together is a pretty damn AWESOME DAY}

8. My fur baby drives me crazy but he can turn any frown upside down.

9. My babies! My babies fill my heart with so much love.  They make this heart run….

10. Imagination.  Seeing my babies' imaginations in play + exploration.

11. I love my bloggy friends.  You all make me so happy.

12. How I Meet Your Mother dates with My Hubby. We're Netflix lovers.

13. Blogging.  Blogging has become such a happy piece of me.

14. Being married to a caring man, who holds hands, kisses boo-boos, teaches lessons, gives hugs, shows encouragement, provides more than a home, who embraces each one of us here, and who showers me with tons of love everyday…

This life is sooooo good. 

I'm loved, and I love.

A Look Back {2013}

This year has gone by incredibly fast.  

I started out 2013 with the honor of being my Best Friend's MOH at her New Year's Eve Wedding, which was so much fun!!

Starting off 2013 celebrating LOVE had to be a sign that I was going to have a good  an AWESOME year. 

I finally finished SCHOOL this year!

Finishing-up my degree gave me more time to blog :)

I blogged on and off, but this May I was in full blog form.

This was the year I became a 

BLOGGER.

Yes, I blogged for Tots To Teens, but this was my year to blog for me :)

I fell in love.

I've made so many encouraging and loving new friends.

New friendships grew and bloggy parties began ;)

This year was a year of honesty and sharing me.

Oh and there was the move…

Which is where I'm at today.

We're miles away from home.  Nonetheless, we're making South Carolina our home.

My family and I will start the New Year off in our new home.

I don't know what 2014 has in-store for us, besides new beginnings. 

I know I want to make the most of 2014 and share it with you!
