T2T Back to School Mini Issue

The T2T mini issue is live, and I'm excited to share!!

My Mac is back & Last Week

Thursday afternoon I was in the middle of posting a blog, uploading pictures, and working on stuff for Tots to Teens when.... FADE TO BLACK!

My Mac died on me.

Nothing.

I was quite upset... I said some very non-Valentiney words-- not associated with love.

Then I declared myself the worst blogger in history.

After that I started freaking out about losing all my pictures.

Now, that thought alone is enough to FREAK OUT any mama... right? Pictures./Memories...Gone!

Thankfully I still have my computer & pictures. I took my Mac to the Apple store last night and just needed a new battery.  

However, I'm thinking in the near future my Mac & me are going to have to say our good-byes.

I lost my original post L! 

My post was not saved and well let me tell you it was the BEST POST EVER.

I cannot remember how it went, so this is probably not going to be as awesome.... forgive me.

Last Week

We celebrated my daughter's 11th Birthday!

11 years has gone by so incredibly fast-- time flies when you're having fun.

My husband & I are both crazy about this girl, she makes us both insanely proud for sooooo many reasons.  Most importantly it is her loving heart.... not sure where she gets that from eh hem.
We brought our Fat Tuesday Baby home from the hospital on Valentine's day... she's our little valentine...

For Valentine's I decided to make my take on Toni’s Valentines she shared on Tots to Teens Magazine for my 5^th grader’s  class.  

I used: shipping paper to wrap boxes

           Yarn- to tie on spoons

            Printables I made {I wish I could share but I don’t know how to post ‘em}

****If you'd like the tags I have no problem sharing>> holla at yo girl****

             Glue stick- to glue the printable half way on box

and Boom CEREALsly awesome Valentines.

My 1^st grader’s class opted out of candy this year.  Luckily, I found these cute free crazy straw Valentine printables from Plucky Momo’s blog—that I just heart. 

These are super easy... cute.. fun... and kiddos just love straws!

I spent Valentine’s morning with my littlest valentine doing Valentine themed schoolwork.

My family and I had a lovely valentines….

And this hottie& I had a nice Valentine as well….

Wordless Week- Friday

     This week I have been wordless on this here blog. Apologies.  I would love to keep your company--don't give up on me.  I have had plenty to say over at my other gig .....

     
     This week at T2T I worked on Prom Week.  My Wordless Wednesday was suppose to be a picture of yours truly from my Prom.  Turns out my scanner hates me!  And back in the historic ages we didn't all have digital cameras-- so those pics are not saved on my computer--> thank goodness. Remember the days of the disposable.  

"Does anyone have a camera?"

 "Guess we'll have to get one at the Gas Station."

     While looking for a good picture of prom I had to go through the Senior book--wow!  It was kinda fun and kinda embarrassing.  My husband looked through it with me.... awkward.  Nevertheless it was good to see this old part of me.  And if I can work things out with my scanner I will be posting a pic or two.

Friday Love Affair---> Tots To Teens Magazine and Twitter?

"My love affair this Friday is Tots to Teens Magazine and Twitter?"  Yes.  Why?  

I am a self proclaimed Twitterholic-- my husband signed me up for Twitter when I opened up my Etsy shop.  I thought I would never in a billion years enjoy Twitter... isn't it for egomaniacs?  Not at all.  There are all sorts of wonderful out there... people helping people, encouraging tweets, helpful parenting stuff, and of course celebrity gossip.   

I thought I'd just tweet about my hairbands and maybe sales....

I did just that, at first-- and then I liked it.  I liked responding to random people and engaging in communication with other like-minded people.  

The more I tweeted the more I gained newfound friends.  

I came to have a friend in @BabySwags aka Phyllis I dubbed us the #RHoCHI (Real Housewives of Chicago(suburban edition)) it all started over tweeting about the RHOBH.

Never did I think one day from Tweeting I would have a new connection that would lead me to being a....

uh.... BLOGGER?

I have been posting to my blog quite regularly here,  and now I am happy to announce... I will also be a part of the Tots to Teens Magazine Team...

You can read my random posts there about being a parent, living the fab life {somewhat sarcasm} 

Basically, I will get to write what I can't in 140 characters on Twitter, and it will make more sense there.

So, I might get foodie once in a while there too.

Oh--and I will also be doing product reviews.  Please put the word out there for me or if you have any suggestions let me know.
