The Blogger's Daughter... {Wordy Wordless Wednesday}

I just hated that my little artist was sick last week, but selfishly I kinda liked it.  Let me explain... I didn't like that she was sick!
I loved that she was home with me, and we got to spend Mommy and Me time.

She just makes me so happy!  We colored, read, had Starbucks, and she made me LAUGH my head off :)
She is such a funny gal... wonder where she get's that from.?.
Oh, she is also a mini blogger!
Well, she doesn't have a blog but she is always assisting me on what I should blog, pin or tweet.
For instance, she took this picture while she was home sick.
"Mommy this should go on the blog."
She staged the picture!!!
Don't you just love her!
Look mihija it's on the blog... for you mi amor!
Love my little artist up to the moon and back.

My Little Lady

Last week, as I sat and chatted with my little lady- while we were waiting for the littles to get out of school- she was telling me about her day.  This girl always makes me proud.  She is smart, caring, loving, and strong.
While we chatted, she told me she stood up for some girls.. that some of the other girls were talking about.  She told me, "Mommy, it wasn't fair or right of them to say those things."  "I had to let them know, they were wrong."
I was so proud, I had to take a picture of her in that moment... that moment where she displayed to me she is becoming such a classy little lady.

Tea please... {my youngest daughter's clothing obsession}

Both of my daughters had the opportunity to model the Tea Collection's, Spring Bali collection last year, for Tots to Teens'  Spring/Summer issue.

They both adored the clothes but my youngest... she is down right.. how should I put it... quite fanatical about her favorite Tea outfit.  Her favorite outfit has shown up a couple of times on my blog :)

So, when I told her, "I think this may be your last summer with this outfit" she was a bit on the-not-so-happy-side.
My baby girl made her favorite shirt work year round, pairing it with cardigans, hoodies, & jeans or corduroys.
I told her she could get a new Tea outfit, but that was before our new "thrift challenge" {details to come soon}.  Since, I told her she could get a new Tea outfit before the challenge, and since Spring Styles are now on sale at Tea Collection {and I'm sure a good report card is coming home} Mama is going to come through on that :)
I think she will love these

Aren't these cute!?!
Does your child have a go-to-outfit, one that you have washed over and over and over again?

Book Clubbing with my Daughter

For the last couple of years my daughter {11yo} and I, have had our own personal book club. We both read the same book and discuss what we think about it.  I have to admit at times I get behind in reading the books we've chosen....
Now, that I'm done with school I plan to read more books; and have more Daughter/Mommy book dates.  Summer is coming-- there will be tons of reading going on over here at mi casa.  I bought the kids book logs-- so yeah I'm getting these kids summer-home school-ready.

I still have to finish Wonder, which my daughter absolutely adores and has read twice. She also helped start the  Wonder pledge at her school, and made the local paper :)

We're currently reading Pie by Sarah Weeks. Just in case anyone wanted to start reading along.  We choose Pie because it is on the Bluestem List and who doesn't love pie?

My wish is that the two of us will keep this going, and now that my 7yo daughter has become quite the reader have her join the club too.

Do you and your daughter have your own book club?  What book have you read & loved lately?
