It's Friday!! What!?! I know bananas right? This week went by crazy fast, which I guess is to be expected when you have 3 kiddos home for summer, and all three in sports.
Anywho, Friday, on this here blog usually means linking up with the beautiful stylish Lena for her Passion For Fashion link-up.
So, about a month or so back
True Story. Do you remember the game Red Rover?

If you don't, then maybe I'm old and I just gave away my age. I know these types of games aren't played in schools anymore; it's probably because lots of WHITE PANTS WERE RUINED! See the little girl trying to break through the kids' arms, well that's me. I got sent over and instead of breaking through the kids' arms I was closed-lined sending me right in the dirt!! I wore the cone of shame... I had to finish the rest of the school day in dirty white pants. After that day I vowed to never ever wear white pants... again!
Considering I'm now in my early 30's, and that vow was made when I was around 8 years old... that is kinda like forever ago. For years, I've seen white pants and loved the look but honestly I still feared I'd get them dirty. I mean... I HAVE THREE KIDS I'm bound to get them dirty.
Even though I have had that fear, I saw the pants at Old Navy and said screw it... and went with the white! I've only worn them once and sharing them with you :) My shirt was another Old Navy purchase and my earrings were from a Red Tag Target Hunt. Oh come on I'm not the only one who searches for those red tags at Target...right?

On another note
Did you ever listen to Wu-Tang Clan?
Well I did.
So I thought this was awesome...
Gza from Wu-Tang clan is dropping knowledge... for real!
He went around schools, this school year teaching kids about science! Children tried to make their own rhymes using what they learned in class. I cannot tell you how much I love this!!
Not so bad when Wu-Tang raises you :)
{That's a little Macklemore}
Hope Y'all have a lovely weekend and please come check out some of my other posts from this week.

Yeah, white pants are a recipe for disaster, but they are so cute! They look adorable on you! :) Stopping by from the SITS Sharefest on Twitter.-Ashley
ReplyDeleteThank you :)

I love white pants too, but with 3 kids, 3 dogs and 4 cats, it never fails, someone will get me dirty! If its not the kids, its a dog or a cat with muddy paws. Can't win! It was fun to meet you during the SITS Sharefest today!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice chatting with you too! Well, to be honest with you I've only worn the jeans once, so I could change my mind :)

Stopping by from #sitssharefest. I think I love you. In a totally non-creepy way.
ReplyDeleteI love it when a mom references WuTang. I'm a Method Man girl, myself.
I have this bad ass pair of wide leg white trousers that I was so excited to wear. And, they are too long. Sooo, between the whiteness and the height of heel required, I've only wore them once too!
No, that is not creepy at all.... I'm kidding I'll take your love and send it back into the world. Okay, I jacked that from Ellen ;)
DeleteI'm a Method Man girl myself with a side of Redman of course!
And pants being to long on me... well that's the story of my life!!! Hence these are capris that pretty much fit me like pants...
Thanks for stopping by!!

Ok let's try this again... this time not from my phone.
ReplyDeleteI most often wear something I can wipe my hands on. But I do own a pair of loose linen pants that haven't made it out of my closet yet... maybe for July . You are darn cute in those white capris!
I am a fan of Wu-Tang and a steal at Target.
One of my favorite bands in my day was A Tribe Called Quest.
How funny one of my husband's favorite songs is Bonita Applebum; he named his weapon Bonita while he was in Iraq. And thank you!

I love white pants... I actually have a pair or denim ones that are killer... but I got a huge black grease stain on them last year... somehow. Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable and are totally rocking these! Go girl! :)
Thank you! I'm just afraid, I too will ruin those babies; I'll have to wear with caution.

I love white pants but with a three year old they almost never stay clean so I save them for days when I'm headed out for date night or out to catch up with my girlfriends.
ReplyDeleteTotally grew up on Wu-Tang. I still have my Enter the 36 Chambers tape around here somewhere! It is always amazing to see what we considered to be such hard core rappers turn around and do good as adults. That was pretty cool!
Yes, I too enjoyed 36 Chambers and I had it on 'tape' too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see everyone evolve, even hard core rappers.
Thanks for stopping by!!
