My Christmas Jamz {#TunesdayTuesday}

It's Tunesday Tuesday, I'm linking up with these sweet ladies to share the soundtrack of my life ☺

This week's theme:

This one is tough… I love so many!
I'm a sucker for Bing Crosby & Nat King Cole…
...HOWEVER…
Every time I hear Nat sing The Christmas Song, with that rich voice at the start and throughout the holidays I get
that warm goose bumpy feeling ❄
My hubby & I both love The Christmas Song..

I picked Bing Crosby last week anyway.

C'mon isn't his voice Unforgettable ;)

So, I thought I'd share my kiddo's favorite Christmas songs too..

What's your favorite Holiday Song?

My Mood {Tunesday Tuesday}

I'm linking up to Tunesday Tuesday today.
Tunesday Tuesday is a linky hosted by The Patchwork Paisley,MrsTeeLoveLifeLaughterMomma Candy, and Drinking the Whole Bottle…. they pick the Theme you pick your Song.
This week the lovely ladies from Tunesday Tuesday picked the theme….

Oh dear… I have so many moods right now. I'm a freakin' roller coaster…. I'm overjoyed, underwhelmed, overwhelmed, stressed, happy, disappointed in my Cowboys☆, worried, anxious, and elated…. Is there a song for that?

I know I just confused the heck out of you… right?  Well, I'm obviously 100% happy my family and I made it to beautiful South Carolina.
We are all in love with the beach!!! ⚓
However, our corporate housing is not near the beach
I never knew beach-life was our life, we love it and want to be near it.

Finding a home near the beach with good schools is hard because everyone wants that life too… I guess.  And people are charging extra for that life… whaaa

I don't want to complain because I do have a spot for the next 30 or so days rent free.  This apartment is a tad bit bigger than my house in Illinois and the laundry room in our apartment is a true laundry room not the little closet laundry room I had back home.  Oh it's the little things….

The city we're staying in doesn't have much here, it's rural meets suburbs, and as much as I hate to admit this out loud… I'm kind of use to the suburb-life.

All our Christmas decor is packed away in storage… we don't have a tree… hell we haven't even bought presents!
We're holding out on the tree in hopes we'll find a place soon but I think we may be here for the holidays.

{The kiddos St.Nick» boots «that are packed up}
St.Nick's day came and the kiddos left out their chanclas (flip flops) for St.Nick to fill  the kiddos got candy and St. Nick even added some lights to our apartment along with snowflakes and candy canes… he must have felt bad that we had no Holiday cheer up in here. ;)

And you know what… I do too.  I want to give the kiddos a home for the holidays… I want to give them Christmas that they've known…

Coming here to SC one of my biggest concerns was having the three of my babies adjust and be happy.  Right now it doesn't feel like Christmas …. maybe it will all change soon.
I need to add more Christmas activities to our lives; since I'm homeschooling the kiddos right now, I plan on added some of those activities to the curriculum
My song only for nostalgia-sake

White Pants and Raised on Wu-Tang

It's Friday!! What!?! I know bananas right?  This week went by crazy fast, which I guess is to be expected when you have 3 kiddos home for summer, and all three in sports.

Anywho, Friday, on this here blog usually means linking up with the beautiful stylish Lena for her Passion For Fashion link-up.

Lena B, Actually
So, about a month or so back {when I thought the weather was going to get nicer} I decided to do something huge-- I bought white capris! Okay, the capris look like pants on me because I happen to be vertically challenged. I haven't worn white pants since elementary school!!
True Story.  Do you remember the game Red Rover?
If you don't, then maybe I'm old and I just gave away my age. I know these types of games aren't played in schools anymore; it's probably because lots of WHITE PANTS WERE RUINED!
See the little girl trying to break through the kids' arms, well that's me. I got sent over and instead of breaking through the kids' arms I was closed-lined sending me right in the dirt!! I wore the cone of shame... I had to finish the rest of the school day in dirty white pants.  After that day I vowed to never ever wear white pants... again!

Considering I'm now in my early 30's, and that vow was made when I was around 8 years old... that is kinda like forever ago.  For years, I've seen white pants and loved the look but honestly I still feared I'd get them dirty.  I mean... I HAVE THREE KIDS I'm bound to get them dirty.

Even though I have had that fear, I saw the pants at Old Navy and said screw it... and went with the white! I've only worn them once and sharing them with you :) My shirt was another Old Navy purchase and my earrings were from a Red Tag Target Hunt.  Oh come on I'm not the only one who searches for those red tags at Target...right?

*******
On another note
Did you ever listen to Wu-Tang Clan?

Well I did.
So I thought this was awesome...

Gza from Wu-Tang clan is dropping knowledge... for real!
He went around schools, this school year teaching kids about science! Children tried to make their own rhymes using what they learned in class. I cannot tell you how much I love this!!
Not so bad when Wu-Tang raises you :)
{That's a little Macklemore}

Hope Y'all have a lovely weekend and please come check out some of my other posts from this week.
XO

All You Need is LOVE...

I believe it to be true!
The Beatles’ song “All You Need is Love” inspired my daughter’s middle name.
She is LOVE
I think this is the perfect song for the upcoming
LOVE DAY & EVERYDAY J

P.S. I found some Pinterest finds to go along with this beautiful song.... enjoy!

Happy Xmas {War Is Over}!!

It's over!  The war in Iraq is over, and I wasn't sure when I would ever be able to say that. I have had two {more} babies during this war and my eldest had to endure her papa {my husband, my <3} gone for over a year in Iraq... and now it is over.
My love to all our military and their families.... Happy Christmas!
xoxo- @Mrs_AOK

First song I thought of when I heard the war was over

And this video just made me laugh and I wanted to share.

Saturday with Etsy and Adele

Happy Saturday!
 If you are new here Welcome and Thank You for joining me : )
 Saturday is the day I pick a song or have someone pick a song to make an Etsy Treasury List to.
 This week I have chosen a song that was stuck in my head all week. Perhaps, it is because I was just astonished by Adele's performance on the MTV Video Music Awards. Her voice is just so lovely-- she totally captivated the audience.  In a sea of performers with no where near her talent, she silenced them with her depth. I have to say I am a FAN...yep I'm jumping on the wagon.. hands down she is one of my new faves ; ) And thus my treasury list is inspired by Adele's song Someone Like You.
Stumbled upon this video and found it quite intriguing... how bout you?
And here is my treasury list Someone like you : )

Saturday with Ingrid Michaelson and Etsy..

Well I'm in a lovey dovey mood. Why you ask...  Well. Its. Coming. My 10 year anniversary is fast approaching!  I have been working on some things for our anniversary, and it has taken me back (I will share with you later) wouldn't want the wrong person seeing said things >.<
This week's treasury list is inspired by Ingrid Michaelson's  song The Way I am<-- love it!
--check out this animation to the song--

Made the list as if I were thinking of things to say to my love... in a geeky, goofy, way he gets : )
